CSI Covid-19 Statement
March 12, 2020
Dear CSI Families-
Due to the latest developments and rapidly, ever changing national information regarding the COVID-19 virus, further public recommendation from Govenor Pritzker to limit group activities, the Carbondale Soccer Inc, Board of Directors has made the decision to suspend Carbondale Soccer Inc until further notice.
All Carbondale Soccer Inc programming, divisions, and teams have been suspended indefinitely beginning today, Thursday March 12.
This means zero training, practices, or games until further notice.
We will be taking a week-to-week approach regarding any further cancellations. We will update again on April 2 with more information. Patience in the meantime will be tantamount to working together for the greater well being of all.
With hundreds of families involved we want to make sure we are taking the necessary steps to help in preventing the spread of this virus.
We apologize for the short notice and certainly appreciate that this will cause disruption, but remember to CSI, nothing is more important than your child’s well being. Not even soccer.
Further the safety of the entire City, Carbondale 95, 165, DeSoto, GC, UP, and private schools, and outlying greater southern Illinois community of cities, schools, coaches, players and families is our highest priority.
We very much appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and look forward to resuming activities as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, we strongly recommend that you review the Center for Disease Control’s website for the most up to date information.
