Spring 2020 Registration Open

January 31, 2020-

Registration for Spring 2020 is now open. It will close on Friday, February 28. Team selection will occur sometime during the first week of March, with practices starting most likely March 23. First game is Saturday, March 28, last game is Saturday, April 25. These games and practices are all held at the superblock by the splashpark.

Prek & K Soccer is only held on Saturday morning at 9am or 10am. No practices for them during the week.

Grades 1-8 practices are one day or two per week for about 1 hour. Held between 530 and 7pm or so. The practices are not known until the volunteer coach can survey your response on what day works for the vast majority of players on the team, and most importantly their schedule. So if you have other activities that you are committed to, understand your answers help pick a practice day, but ultimately you will have to choose what you attend. One does not need to attend the practices to play in the saturday games, but it helps from a team development and skill standpoint.

Games are either at 9AM, 10:15AM, 11:30AM and last about one hour on Saturday mornings. Final times will be determined by the actual number of signups.

No uniforms are needed, only shin guards, water bottle and soccer ball (Prek-Grade 2 soccer ball is size 3, Grade 3-6 is size 4, Grade 7-8 is size 5). Shin guards can be purchased at Dick's sporting goods, walmart, target.

If you want to buy cleats you may, or try on the ones in the soccer shed when it's open during practices.

The cost is $42, plus a $3 order fee imposed by our vendor. Unfortunately, we were not notified of said fee until December 1, 2019. Dick's Sporting Goods sold their software to a new vendor and they promptly raised the cost to the user. Due to to the registration software we use going obsolete after this season we had no choice but to remain using it.

In November at our soccer parent meeting we announced the partnership with the Carbondale Park District to begin in earnest in the fall of 2020.

With that announcement this spring season will be the last registration with CSI. In the fall of 2020 all registration and programming will be with the Carbondale Park District. We will announce this via our email system and on our website directing you where to signup for fall soccer.
